Black Galaxy Granite Slabs for Floor and Wall
Black Galaxy Granite Slabs are natural granite slabs selected from Ongole region, Andhra Pradesh, India. The material shows deep black graphite base with scattered gold-bronze star-like flecks and occasional silver mineral points and starry metallic gold flecks dispersed across a dense black ground, with moderate natural variation between slabs. With density around 2.64 - 2.82 g/cm3, water absorption < 0.30% and compressive strength 150 - 220 MPa, it is suitable for hotel lobby floors, villa.
Product description
Black Galaxy Granite Slabs are natural granite slabs developed for projects that need a dark, durable and visually stable stone surface. The selected material is associated with Ongole region, Andhra Pradesh, India; selected from established Black Galaxy granite quarries with stable black base and visible bronzite mineral distribution. It presents deep black graphite base with scattered gold-bronze star-like flecks and occasional silver mineral points, making the tile suitable for architectural work where the first impression must match a true black granite appearance rather than an artificial printed surface.
The stone body has compact medium-grained igneous crystalline texture with bronzite, feldspar, quartz and dark accessory minerals. Its visible layout is defined by starry metallic gold flecks dispersed across a dense black ground, with moderate natural variation between slabs. This combination gives each tile a recognizable material identity while still allowing designers to arrange large floor and wall areas with controlled visual continuity.
Because granite is formed through slow crystallization and geological compression, Black Galaxy Granite Slabs provide reliable hardness, compression resistance and long-term dimensional stability. They are recommended for hotel lobby floors, villa feature walls, luxury retail interiors, bathroom wall slabs and polished commercial flooring. Sealing is advised for wet zones, food areas and exterior environments to improve stain resistance and simplify maintenance.
Category: Natural Granite Slabs
Color: deep black graphite base with scattered gold-bronze star-like flecks and occasional silver mineral points; each batch should be checked by dry layout before installation because natural black granite may show slight mineral and tone differences.
Surface Finish Available: Honed / Polished / Brushed / Tumbled / Sandblasted / Bush-hammered / Flamed / Leathered
Product Form: Natural Granite Slabs
Texture: compact medium-grained igneous crystalline texture with bronzite, feldspar, quartz and dark accessory minerals. high-gloss polished finish emphasizes gold flecks; honed finish creates a quieter matte black surface for modern interiors.
Density: 2.64 - 2.82 g/cm3 (stable compactness for long-term tile service)
Water Absorption: < 0.30% (sealing treatment recommended according to finish and installation area)
Compressive Strength: 150 - 220 MPa (suitable for normal architectural tile applications)
Abrasion Resistance: good wear resistance for residential and medium commercial traffic after proper sealing
GANGSAW SUITABILITY
Black Galaxy Granite Slabs raw blocks are compatible with standard gangsaw processing equipment for slab and tile cutting. The stone features stable internal crystalline structure and practical finished-product yield. Starry metallic gold flecks dispersed across a dense black ground, with moderate natural variation between slabs help the finished slabs retain a recognizable natural appearance after calibration, edge trimming and surface finishing.
Recommended Processing: Gangsaw slabs (1.8 cm & 2 cm), followed by calibration, edge trimming and honed / polished / brushed / tumbled / flamed surface treatment
Expected Slab Yield: Approximately 76-86 slabs per block (based on 1.8 cm thickness)
Polish Result: high-gloss polished finish emphasizes gold flecks; honed finish creates a quieter matte black surface for modern interiors The final surface should be inspected under project lighting to confirm tone, mineral visibility and batch consistency.
